A one-time-only, site-specific spectacle on the Buffalo Bayou, this environmental light and sound installation is the creation of Portland-based video artist / software designer Johnny DeKam and Los Angeles-based composer / laptop musician Steve Nalepa. The show utilizes a special multi-moving mirror projection system, adding a new dimension to the visuals. Stroll beneath the bridges of the Sabine Promenade to experience DeKam's abstract moving geometries and architectural juxtapositions against Nalepa's electro-ambient "Left Coast Liquid" music.

Bring a picnic or purchase food, wine and drinks on site. Boat rides are also available. Blankets and lawnchairs, canoes and kayaks are encouraged.

Nights on Blue Bayou is a series of nighttime activities throughout the year to highlight the downtown waterfront park as the night unfolds and the dramatic trail lights appear. This fall series features music and performance. The award-winning blue lights will reveal the bridges, trails and water of the park and changes in tandem with the phases of the moon. The park along the banks of Buffalo Bayou features jogging and biking trails, lush landscaping, canoe launch public art and a new pedestrian bridge.
